BIM Objects can be value engineered by increasing the function and lowering or maintaining the costs. Even a solution where costs rise relatively less than function could be considered. When BIM Objects are supporting life-cycle processes, three variables are the key to increase the function variable. This variables are Interoperability, parametricity and contractual support.
